Joining SERVAS New Zealand

You can join Servas as a Traveller or as a Host or as both.  You need to:
•           Contact your nearest Regional Coordinator so they can send you the paperwork.
•           Be interviewed to ensure that you fully understand the procedures and obligations involved in being a Servas Host and/or Traveller.
•           Pay the appropriate subscription.

We consider the interview an important part of the process of joining Servas. It provides an opportunity to ensure that you fully understand the procedures and obligations involved in being a Servas Host and/or Traveller. If you are joining as a couple or family you should both attend the interview.

When approved:
The Traveller receives a Letter of Introduction which is signed, stamped and dated. This is the traveller's 'passport' to travel with Servas ‑ it is valid for one year. You can now borrow Host Lists to help you plan your Servas visits.

The Host will be included in the next NZ Host List, typically collated in September each year. You will also be sent a copy of the NZ Host List and put on our newsletter mailing list.
